Africa Fair launches Catalogue 6: Winter 2008
[Cape Town, March 2007] Africa Fair is excited to launch Catalogue 6: Winter 2008 aimed specifically at local lodges and boutique hotels. The catalogue builds on the last collection, keeping favourites such as Savage silver jewellery and Get Wired beaded bags and bringing exciting new additions to the jewellery, children's and home ware range as well as adding stationery to the collection.
Warm mohair, soft felt and indigenous silk scarves have been included to help keep at bay the winter cold. Always chic and stylish these are the perfect accessory for a game drive or elegant evening dinner. They allow one to be fashionable in local African design.
Building on the success of the Savage silver jewellery range we have added Nic Blanden's exquisite collection of silver and bronze cast seeds, blooms and foliage. These delicate pieces allow you to be adorned in a fleeting moment of nature, which is captured in these beautifully crafted miniature works of art.
The popular felt animal brooches have grown into larger felt animals for children big and small. These quirky, colourful animals are hand made in felted wool by the crafters at Nuno and reflect each individuals own personality.
We are excited to add the popular stationery range Mu & Me. Charmingly designed by Daley Muller these note books, greeting cards and post cards introduce the gang of friends and pets from Orange Hill such as Syd and Bella the inseparable giraffes and Thandi and Tet from the Ndebele tribe. The scribblers covered in African animals are perfect for kids on safari.

About Africa Fair Passionate about fashion, and inspired by the colorful
creativity of Africa’s designers, Jennifer Fair set up Africa Fair in 2002. Her strong belief that
local African designers could successfully sell their products in international markets, combined with a
desire to move from a corporate venture capital job, motivated her to create a business that focused on
matching the finest of African accessories with lovers of unique style. Africa Fair brings innovative
African design to the global fashion accessory community thereby helping to preserve local crafting skills
in Africa and providing much needed employment. Africa Fair’s first collection was launched in New York
in November 2002. The company is currently based in Cape Town, South Africa and New York City.
